A Word From Our Forester
I grew up in Wisconsin, where forests and farmland shaped both my work ethic and my outlook on life. Before I ever cruised timber or marked a stand, I was milking cows, baling hay, and learning the simple lesson that honest work matters—and that people notice when you do things the right way.
My love for forestry led me to the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, where I earned a degree in Forest Administration & Utilization, graduating with Highest Honors. From there, I built my career across the Midwest hardwood industry—managing MFL timber sales, purchasing veneer logs, working with sawmills, and eventually managing export hardwood logistics across multiple states.
Through all these experiences, one idea kept coming back to me: landowners deserve a forestry partner who is knowledgeable, transparent, and fully committed to their best interests.
I founded Big River Forestry to be exactly that.
Today, I help landowners understand the true value of their timber, plan responsible harvests, and protect the long-term health of their forests. Every property is unique—and every landowner deserves a forester who treats it like more than a transaction.
